What is Rdio Free?

With Rdio Free, new users get a limited number of ad-free, full-length streams on the Rdio website and desktop apps each month for up to 6 months.

Check the banner at the top of Rdio.com to see how much music you have left – it will let you know when you’re running out.

How do I get Rdio Free?

New users will automatically get Rdio Free for up to 6 months on their computers, but you’ll need to subscribe to use Rdio on your smartphones, tablets and home media devices.

Seeing a 14-day trial countdown on your account? No need to worry! Rdio Free will automatically kick in after your free Rdio Unlimited trial ends.

I’ve been using Rdio Free and I'm in love! How do I subscribe?

Visit your account Settings to subscribe to Rdio.

In the US & Canada, Rdio Unlimited costs $9.99/month and supports web, desktop app and mobile use. Rdio Web costs $4.99/month, and gives you unlimited listening from a computer on the website and desktop apps.

(If you're located outside of the US or CA, pricing details can be found here: http://www.rdio.com/pricing/)

I used up all of my music this month! What do I do?

After your last track has played, you’ll see a pop-up telling you when you’ll get more music. If you simply can’t wait, subscribe to keep listening.

Can I use the mobile apps if I’m using Rdio Free? What about the desktop apps?

Rdio Free works on the web and with the Rdio desktop apps; this includes the Mac and Windows desktop apps.

If you’re using Rdio Free, you won’t be able to play full songs on Rdio's mobile apps or supported home media players.
