What are Stations?
Stations are one of the primary ways to play and discover music on Rdio, and with Rdio Free you can enjoy the experience for free on your mobile device, forever.
Rdio’s You FM is the first station of its kind that pulls in all of your listening history to play an endless stream of music across all of your tastes. Listening to someone else’s FM Station (from influential tastemakers Snoop Dogg or Rolling Stone, or one of your music-savvy friends) provides a unique way to discover what is rocking someone else’s world. In addition, you'll be able to listen to Artist and Song stations, Genre stations and much more.
We're also introducing the ability to share Stations with friends and followers. Think your You FM is proof positive of your superior music taste? Now you can share it — and any other station — with your friends.
- Free Stations will be available on iOS and Android, with other platforms coming in the near future.
- At this time, Free Stations will only be available in the US, Canada and Australia.
To comply with DMCA restrictions, there are a few limitations to be aware of, including:
- No prior announcements of tracks/albums/artists
- No rewinding, backward skips, or restarting
- No more than 6 skips per hour per user per station/channel
