How do I use Rdio on my mobile device?
Rdio's apps for Android, BlackBerry, iOS and Windows Phone give you mobile access to your Rdio Collection. With our mobile apps, you can also sync albums, songs and playlists so you can listen even when you're offline.
What is Sync to Mobile?
The "Sync to Mobile" option saves music from your Collection directly to your mobile device. Tracks that you set to sync will be saved directly on your phone so that you can listen even if you don't have an internet connection.
To sync, simply longpress or select the +/checkmark next to an album or song, then select "Sync to Mobile".
Music will begin syncing the next time you have an active connection on your mobile device. Synced music is stored directly within the Rdio app on your device, and will remain on your device as long as you have an active Rdio Unlimited account or trial.
See our Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows Phone or BlackBerry guides for further information on syncing music to your mobile device.
What is Offline Mode?
Use Offline Mode when you want to use the Rdio app without an internet connection (you will also automatically be bumped into offline mode when your device can't find an active wifi/data connection). In Offline mode, only music that you've synced to your device will still be available for listening.
How do I switch between Online and Offline Mode?
Rdio's mobile apps will automatically detect whether or not your phone has an internet connection. You can also manually switch Offline Mode in the Settings menu.
How can I add or remove music in my offline collection?
You can manage your offline collection from your computer (at Rdio.com) or directly on your mobile device.
On Rdio.com, hover your cursor over an Action Menu to select Sync to Mobile or Remove from Mobile. An orange badge will appear on music once it's been set for Sync to Mobile.
Where can I find my mobile device's sync progress?
Your phone's sync progress is viewable within the Rdio app's Settings menu.
How much music can I sync to my mobile device?
You can sync as much music as your phone's memory will allow. Unfortunately, 15 GB of music won't fit into 10 GB of space! Once your phone's memory is full, the app won't sync more music until you've made more space available.
