How do I search for music?

To search Rdio’s catalog from the web, type the name of an artist, album, song, or playlist into the search box. Search results will appear, separated by category. To see more, select Show All Results.

You can further refine the search view by selecting a sub-tab, i.e. Artist, Playlist, etc.

You can also search for other users by their name or Rdio username. To see user-only results, select the People sub-tab.

For information on finding Rdio music from your phone, please see the iPhone, Android, iPad, or BlackBerry guide.

How does a search work?

Rdio’s search automatically uses AND between words unless there are no matches. For example, searching for “On the Run Pink Floyd” will return the song "On the Run" by Pink Floyd.

If there are no matches to AND, results using OR between search terms are returned instead.

You can also use quotation marks to find exact words or phrases, and the hyphen character (-) to remove words from the search.

If we don't have the music you're looking for, let us know.
