Your Collection

Your Collection is a list of your favorite artists, albums, and songs all in one place.

To add music to your Collection, find an album or song and longpress (tap and hold) the album artwork or track name. Select “Add to Collection” or “Sync to Mobile.”

To remove music from your Collection, tap the artist name and select an album. If you want to remove the whole album, tap the green check mark next to the album name. To remove individual tracks, longpress (tap and hold) on track title and select "Remove from Collection".

Sync to Mobile

Synced music is stored directly on your iOS device and does not need a WiFi or data connection to play. Sync as much music as will fit in your mobile device’s storage, and it will remain on the device as long as you have an active Unlimited subscription.

To manually switch between Online and Offline Mode, scroll to the bottom of the left-hand navigation menu and tap "Go Offline".

Managing Synced music

To sync music, find an album or song, longpress the album artwork or track, and select Sync to Mobile. Music synced to your device is marked with an orange device icon.

You can also manage your synced music on
http://www.rdio.com. Your device will sync newly added music the next time you launch the Rdio for iPhone app.

Remove albums and songs from your synced collection by longpressing the album artwork and selecting Remove from Mobile.

You can manage your Synced songs while you’re online. When viewing your Collection, tap the All button in the upper-right corner to open a menu that allows you to view All Songs or just your Synced Songs.

Creating a Playlist

In the left-hand navigation menu, you can create new Playlists, edit existing ones and sync Playlists for offline access.

When you’re in Offline mode, you’ll see only Playlists that have been synced to your device.

To create a new Playlist, longpress any song and select “Add to Playlist.” Then choose the “New Playlist...” option at the top.

Add tracks or entire albums to your existing Playlists by longpressing the song title or album artwork and selecting “Add to Playlist”. Choose which Playlist to which you’d like to add from the menu.

To delete a song from a Playlist, open your Playlist, longpress the song, and select “Remove from Playlist".

The search bar is located at the top of the left-hand navigation menu. Type the name of what you’re looking for—your results will be sorted by Artists, Albums, Songs, Playlists and People.

Sharing Music

You can share songs, albums or Playlists while you’re on the go—just longpress the item and scroll down to the Share option. Then, post it on Facebook, Twitter, or copy the link to share elsewhere.

History shows a record of what you’ve been listening to on Rdio.

New Releases

Stay up-to-date on new music via the New Releases section. View new releases from this week, last week, or two weeks ago.

Shuffle and Repeat

In the Now Playing view, you can manage the the Repeat and Shuffle controls.

Remote Control Mode

When Rdio is active on another device, you’ll see “Rdio is playing elsewhere” in the now playing bar at the bottom of the app. In this mode, you’ll be able to play/pause the music, change what’s playing, and toggle shuffle and repeat controls remotely.

To play Rdio from your iPhone instead, tap the album art to enter Now Playing mode and tap Play here Instead.

Scroll to the bottom of the Rdio side-menu and tap Settings to open the Settings page. There you can sign out of your account, switch between Online and Offline modes, manage quality settings, and control whether the app will start syncing automatically if you are Online.

Why did Rdio turn grey?

Without a WiFi or cellular data connection, the Rdio app will enter Offline mode. You will have access to the music you synced in your Collection, as well as any synced Playlists. You can tap any of the greyed-out music to make the Rdio app search for a signal to reconnect, or go to Settings and select “Go Online.”
