What’s my Collection, and how do I add to it?
Your Collection is a list of your favorite artists, albums, and songs all in one place.
To add music to your Collection, find an album or song and longpress (tap and hold) the album artwork or track name. If you’re currently viewing the album, you can also tap the button. Select “Add to Collection” or “Sync to Mobile.”
To remove music from your Collection, tap the artist name and select an album. If you want to remove the whole album, tap the next to the album name. For individual tracks, longpress on the individual track.
What does Sync to Mobile mean?
Synced music is stored directly on your iOS device, and does not need a WiFi or data connection to play. Sync as much music as will fit in your mobile device’s storage, and it will remain on the device as long as you have an active Unlimited subscription.
How do I manage my Synced music?
To sync music, find an album or song, longpress the album artwork or track, and select Sync to Mobile. Music synced to your device is marked with an orange device icon (). You can also manage your synced music on Rdio.com. Your device will sync newly added music the next time you launch the Rdio for iPhone app.
Remove albums and songs from your synced collection by longpressing the album artwork or tapping the icon and selecting Remove from Mobile.
You can manage your Synced songs while you’re online. When viewing your Collection, tap the All button in the upper-right corner to open a menu that allows you to view All Songs or just your Synced Songs.
How can I manage my queue?
You can view and manage your Queue by tapping ‘Queue’ in the left-hand navigation menu. Here you can view what is currently playing, what will play later, and manage your upcoming Station.
How can I add music to my queue?
Longpress on any album, track, or playlist and select Play Later to add it to your Queue.
What can I do with playlists?
You can view your own playlists, ones on which you’re collaborating, and playlists you are subscribed to in the left-hand navigation menu. You can also create new playlists, edit existing ones, and sync playlists for offline access.
When you’re in Offline mode, you’ll see only Playlists that have been synced to your device.
To create a new playlist, longpress any song and select “Add to Playlist.” Then choose the “New Playlist...” option at the top.
Add tracks or entire albums to your existing playlists by longpressing the song title or album artwork and selecting “Add to Playlist.” Choose which playlist to which you’d like to add from the menu.
To delete a song from a playlist, open your playlist, longpress the song, and select “Remove from Playlist."
How do I search for music?
The search bar is located at the top of the left-hand navigation menu. Type the name of what you’re looking for—your results will be sorted by Artists, Albums, Songs, Playlists and People.
How do I share music from the app?
You can share songs, albums or playlists while you’re on the go—just longpress the item and scroll down to the Share option. Then, post it on Facebook, Twitter, or copy the link to share elsewhere.
Can I access Rdio’s social features on the iPhone app?
Check out your network’s Heavy Rotation and Recent Activity, as well as see user profiles and your own listening history.
See what your network has been listening to by tapping Heavy Rotation. Tap any album cover to view the album and start listening.
Select Recent Activity to see a timely feed of your network’s activity--you’ll see updates when people you follow add music to their collection, create or update playlists, and more. Tap on someone’s name to view their profile.
History shows a record of what you’ve been listening to on Rdio.
Can I see what’s new and popular on Rdio in the iPhone app?
Keep tabs on New Releases and Top Charts.
Stay up-to-date on new music via the New Releases section. View new releases from this week, last week, or two weeks ago.
See what’s trending on Rdio — view the most popular Albums, Songs, and Playlists.
Can I use shuffle or repeat?
In the Now Playing view, you can manage the the Repeatand Shuffle
controls.
How does remote mode work?
When Rdio is active on another device, you’ll see “Rdio is playing elsewhere” in the now playing bar at the bottom of the app. In this mode, you’ll be able to play/pause the music, change what’s playing, and toggle shuffle and repeat controls remotely.
To play Rdio from your iPhone instead, tap the album art to enter Now Playing mode and tap .
How do I adjust my settings?
Scroll to the bottom of the Rdio side-menu and tap Settings to open the Settings page. There you can sign out of your account, switch between Online and Offline modes, manage quality settings, and control whether the app will start syncing automatically if you are Online.
Can the Rdio iPhone app be used with multi-tasking?
Rdio for iPhone supports iOS multitasking. This means you can double tap the Home button on your device and scroll left to access the Play/Pause, and the Previous/Next buttons. Additionally, Apple’s headphone controls also work to play/pause and advance to the next track.

Why did Rdio turn grey?
Without a WiFi or cellular data connection, the Rdio app will enter Offline mode. You will have access to the music you synced in your Collection, as well as any synced Playlists. You can tap any of the greyed-out music to make the Rdio app search for a signal to reconnect, or go to Settings and select “Go Online.”
