What can I do with the Apps?

Rdio for Mac/Windows has all the same functionality as the Rdio website. You’ll be able to:

  • Add to your Collection

  • Select songs and playlists to sync to mobile 

  • Create, edit, and subscribe to Playlists

  • Play Rdio Stations

  • Share what you’re listening to with your network of friends

  • And much, much more...

Can I download music from the Mac/Windows apps?

Just like on Rdio.com, you can download songs and albums available for purchase by clicking their action menu, and selecting the “Download Song” (or album) option.

Will the media keys or Apple Remote control what I'm listening to?

Yes, you can control what’s playing in Rdio with your keyboard controls or remote.

Why does the Mac app log me out? 

If you use Safari, make sure to uncheck "Remove all Website Data" from the Reset Safari menu. The Rdio for Mac app works within Safari's framework.

What are the system requirements for the Mac and Windows Desktop apps?

We designed Rdio for Mac especially for Mac OS X (10.6+) computers. Rdio for Windows will work with Windows Vista, XP (Service pack 3+) and Windows 7 and 8.
