App Still Doesn't Work Right

Roupen Mouradian May 15, 2012 05:57PM PDT

I don't know who you have coding your android app but a group of monkeys throwing bits of android code at a monitor would probably do a better job. Go to that guy's desk and tell him he should be embarrassed. Is he the owner's son or something so he can't be fired? Forget the fact that all my songs still aren't synced. Maybe that issue will disappear if I completely delete everything and reinstall everything (again... for the fifth time). The current issue is CPU usage when playing off Rdio. Let's assume that the phone has just recently been turned on and nothing is running yet. All the apps work fine before I open Rdio. Once I open up Rdio and start playing music EVERYTHING. SLOWS. DOWN. Sometimes when new emails come in the mail app won't even open. When you stop the Rdio playback and try to exit the app, the whole phone becomes unresponsive. Its possible the Rdio app is just using up so much CPU that it can't do anything else. You have to open the back, pull out the battery, put it back in and then turn on the phone. This does not happen sometimes. This happens every time.

Hi Roupen,

Thanks for writing in, and sincere apologies for any inconvenience the Android app has caused. Someone from our Android team is looking into this and will follow up with you shortly via email.

Best,
Vivian
