I am a paying customer in good standing. I use the web interface of RDIO (Chrome stable on Windows 7).
Why must I dismiss your admonishment (or leave it cluttering my interface) every time I go to RDIO, for almost two months prior to my even receiving my new credit card?
I don't have the new card! The bank will send me the new card in the middle of the month that my old card expires(I called them to ask). Please stop bugging me about it.
Hi Tom,
Thanks for writing in, and apologies for any inconvenience the on-site notifications might have caused. We don't have any plans to change the way they appear on the site at the moment, but I'll file a feature request for a user-end option like "remind me later" or "dismiss."
Thanks again for sharing your opinion, and please feel free to let us know of any other questions or suggestions you might have.
Best,
Mike
Okay, thanks for responding.
I hope that the distinction I'm making is clear: I wouldn't mind the notice if it happened at a time when I could fulfil the request. What is frustrating is that it started almost two months before I get my new card. (Perhaps you get your new cards sooner in the U.S. - I'm in Canada.)
Agreed. This has been a minor annoyance for me too. The reminder should appear in the month of expiry only, not the month before.
This reminder should be throttled to once per week or, at the very most, once per day. I have a dismiss option, but the frequency is still way too high. It also started about 6 weeks too early for me since I'm not going to get a new credit card until about 2 weeks before mine expires.
