Offline to Online

I cannot change my App from offline to online on my BlackBerry Bold 9780 with blackberry 6, even after the most recent update, please help. Even after I go into settings and change the online mode to ON every action I do says that it is not available offline.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for writing in. If Rdio for BlackBerry is being problematic, here are some suggestions for preliminary troubleshooting:

1. Perform a soft restart on your device by pressing [ALT][CAP][DELETE] together.
2. Does the problem persist after a soft reset? You can perform a hard reset by pressing the Reset button located on the back of your device -- you may need a pin or other small object for this.
3. Check your phone’s available memory
4. Delete and reinstall the app — though it’s a last resort, often a fresh start will clear up the issue.

I had the same problelm on the 9780. I do not have a data plan and tried using over Wifi. Did the soft and hard resets and nothing. I then went into "Mobile Network Options" and turned on "Data Services". Now things work. Apparently un-intuitivelly you need the data services to be turned on for Wifi to work.
