iphone streaming quality vs android

Scott Fisher Aug 01, 2012 07:57AM PDT

Hello, I am a current android user and stream high-quality over 3g (since the option exists for android), but I noticed this option is not available for iphone. I am seriously thinking about switching to the iphone 5 when available but have reservations due to how Rdio is implemented.

Will it be available? If not, why not? Is there a requirement for iphone apps to not use more bandwith?

Thanks!

Hey Scott,

On an iPhone, head to Settings in the Rdio app > Advanced > 'High Quality' (under Streaming). When you tap 'High Quality' you'll see the options for Always, Wi-Fi Only, or Never. There you'll be able to choose when/if to stream high quality versions of songs you haven't synced to your phone.

I hope that clears things up! If you have any further questions, please let me know.

Cheers,
