Removing the master account from a family plan

Andy Frey Aug 06, 2012 06:25PM PDT

Is it possible to remove the primary account holder from a family plan and leave the other two accounts intact? Will they lose any of their collections/playlists?

Hey Andy,

Before unsubscribing the master account of a Family Plan, you'll need to first remove the sub-accounts from the Family Plan.

- Here's how to remove sub-accounts from a Family Plan: http://help.rdio.com/customer/portal/articles/135008-setting-up-an-unlimited-family-plan#remove
- Their accounts will remain active for the rest of your billing cycle. At the end of the billing cycle, they'll be unsubscribed and can be re-subscribed (or even bundled together into a new Family Plan). Even when they're unsubscribed, no data (collection, playlists, etc.) will be lost. Their account will be the way they left it as soon as they resubscribe.
- Once there are no more sub-accounts in your master Family Plan account, you'll be able to unsubscribe that account.

I hope that clears things up! If you have any further questions, please let me know.

Cheers,
