When are you going to be able to remove songs from listening history?
There seems to be a lot of talk about it coming. When exactly will that be?
Hi Deb,
Thanks for writing in. We don't have a specific release date to announce for listening history editing, but thanks for letting us know this is important to you. I'll update this thread once I hear any news.
Cheers,
Mike
It's been well over a month since your question Deb. I support your request. It's a relatively easy add on to the program that gives users more control over their listening experience. Similar competitive programs exist that include this feature and Rdio should consider it a priority.
Keep listening ..
Jason
Yes, when is this going to be done?
I too feel that this is a very basic yet important feature.
I signed Rdio today. I asked to cancel my subscription and return my money today. Same for my girlfriend and her sister.
Since history deleting is a trivial feature, and one of the easiest things a developer could hope to do in his whole carreer, I must assume this is intentional. How far they are willing to go I dont know.
I'll chip in again on this as well. The only thing stopping me from signing up is the listening history. When is it going to allow us to not save anything (or at least go in and delete it)?
I can't fathom why this hasn't been implemented. Well actually I can.. data mining. A very questionable business practice considering users pay for this service.
I agree that listening history should be the property and jurisdiction of the subscriber, but I personally hate that my history seems to be less and less accessible. Many times I go my History and nothing appears, or maybe only the last day or so. I liked when I could go back days or weeks and see what I listened to as a means of reminding myself of stuff I liked and wanted to listen to again. Or, especially, when I'm shuffling a playlist of new stuff I have saved off to explore at a later date and I want to retrieve a song I heard and check out the album or artist further. Without access to my long-term history, one of the features of Rdio that I value the most will be . . . uh, history. I agree that history should be made so it can be private and editable, but please don't eliminate it altogether. In fact, I'd like to see the option to maintain and view (maybe via download?) the history of what I have listened to over the past several months, or longer.
