The desktop rdio app for Mac OSX (Mountain Lion) stops playing when my computer goes to sleep (power saver mode).
This makes it impossible to to leave music on at home without first going to system options and disabling power saver.
I've seen several responses from Rdio in the help section that say this shouldn't happen, but everyone I know that I've asked has this same problem.
I've tried re-installing the app with no success.
Can someone please address this?
Thanks
Hi Michael,
Does your computer go to sleep when you play in-browser?
Would you try quitting out of Rdio completely and deleting the prefs file: ~/Library/Preferences/com.rdio.desktop.plist?
Note: This folder is hidden on Lion+, so you'll have to search for ~/Library/Preferences/ in the finder menu using Go -> Go to Folder.
Also make sure that you're not blocked by a firewall, say, at work (check that here: http://player.bitgravity.com/debug/), and that the 'wake for wifi network access' option is checked in System Preferences > Battery Saver?
Thanks for your patience,
Emilie
Hi,
I have the exact same issue on different computers. The problem is that Rdio is not made to prevent the computer from sleeping.

Hi Sergio,
My Mac app continues to play once the computer goes to sleep. What do your Energy saving settings look like? (http://bit.ly/VKVeW5)
Best,
