Second time in less than a month I'm having trouble with the iOS (6.0.1) app.
Now it crashes on start. The solution, I guess, is reinstall the app.
The problem is resync the entire library...
Your service is great, but the app needs a lot of work.
Hi Geraldo,
Sorry about the trouble. Indeed, reinstalling the app may help, but first can you see if the following helps you?:
- Access Rdio on your computer.
- Play something other than a Station, such as an album or a song, for at least 3-4 minutes.
- Open Rdio on your mobile device and see if you run into issues.
Let me know if the trouble persists after trying the above and we'll go from there.
Thanks for your patience,

I had the same problem and tried your solution. Did not work. FYI, the crashing only happens if the app is on line - if it's offline everything works normally.
Exactly the same problem here; the app crashes instantly in online mode, and the problem continues after trying the troubleshooting above. The app opens in offline mode; however, I have a bunch of new songs to sync so that's of little help to me.
I tried a reinstall with partial success; songs started syncing but then crashed again about 65% through the process.
Matthew / Gareth,
Sorry about the continued trouble. A few questions to help us get to the bottom of this (feel free to write in to help@rdio.com with your findings):
- Can you confirm you're experiencing these issues across different networks/connections (ex. work vs. home), or does it seem localized to one?
- Matthew, can you try signing out and back in to the Rdio app, and reinstalling if that doesn't help?
- Gareth, does the syncing process appear to be stuck on one album? If so, let us know which album.
With a little further information we'll be able to narrow down the culprit here.

I tried another resync, only this time I unsynced all the tracks in my collection and only synced the tracks in my weekly playlist. This time it got to 100%, and then promptly crashed.
Hi Gareth,
At this point, we'd like to take a look at logs from your device to shed light on what may be going on. Next time you experience issues, please head to Help > Submit App Log.
Please respond here once you've sent the logs, and I'll have our engineering team take a look.
Thanks for your patience,

I've just installed update 2.0.4 thinking that might have been a fix. Unfortunately not; I still have the same problem.
Would I have to be online to send the log? That may be difficult :) I've gone into airplane mode and submitted the log; hope this reaches you. If not, I can do another reinstall and submit it straight after that.
Hi Gareth,
I believe we have narrowed down the issue you're running into, and it will be fixed in the next release of the iOS app. In the meantime, can you try un-syncing any empty or protected playlists? That will likely clear up the issue in the interim.
Thanks for your patience,

I have just un-synced the one empty playlist I have; it seems to have fixed the crashing problem. Thanks very much :)
Yup, this issue had me going nuts for a while. Un-synced an empty playlist and it runs smoothly.
