Could you please provide an ETA for the completion of the Rdio app on BlackBerry 10?
There isn't any news to share on this front, but thanks for your interest! Stay tuned to @Rdio (http://twitter.com/rdio) and our blog (http://blog.rdio.com) for updates.

Just cancelled my Rdio subscription due to lack of BB10 app. May come back if the app comes available.
Me too, just cancelled as well since I've switched to BB10 and there's no app... There are other music apps it seems though on BB10...
Rdio really needs to get a BB10 app
The Z10 will be available on Verizon a few weeks from now, and I'd hate to have to switch to another music service. I tried them all and Rdio is clearly the best one. Michael, what app are you now using on BB10?
I've been using Deezer. The app is decent enough for an Android port but the music selection isn't where I'd like it to be but I'll suffer through it since using the WebApp from Rdio is not an option.
I, too, will be giving up my Rdio subscription this week until a BB10 app comes out. Not going to pay for something I can't use.
I've already downgraded my subscription as a start (no more mobile), and picked up a Deezer subscription. I think the thing that kills me is the "no news" feedback. Even if the answer is "six months from now" - still better than nothing. Being strung along kinda sucks...
You guys really need to provide at least a rough date for launch. For now, I'm using the Rdio web app, but it is barely usable on a small screen. This is a shame though, because all it would take to make the web app usable on small screens is switching the sidebar to an overlay, perhaps when the screen width is less than 700px...
I'll be cancelling my subscription as well if a BB10 app doesn't come out soon. What a shame!
Apologies for any frustration about that, we are not able to provide any ETA for a BB 10 app right now.
It is something we are considering, but have not come to any firm decisions about yet.
Thanks for being upfront with where things are. I applaud Rdio for having a forum like this where people can interact with you and with other customers.
Somehow, Rdio made it into the list of apps being supported in Blackberry10 when the launch happened. It was reported on The Verge, and by Blackberry themselves. This must have been an error on their part. The bottom line though, is that this may have understandably raised expectations that development was much further beyond "not having made a firm decision about BB10".
I've been a client for years. When I like something, I speak about it alot. I've brought in many customers to Rdio, and invested in gift certificates to try and woo others: you've got a nice platform, and a good product.
The Rdio client on BBOS7 was always poor, but blamed that on the SDK moreso than Rdio's commitment to its Blackberry users. I stuck with Rdio when it went through its phase of frustrating desktop UI changes as well. You know your customers love music, and I can't handle not having it with me. As someone has noted, even a basic web-UI change to allow use over a mobile web browser would do the trick... you could port your Android app potentially... but instead, we have nothing.
Here's how I see it (and many others possibly): I've had an iPhone 5, I've used Android devices. I don't want them. I want Blackberry. In the past, sure, the Blackberry platform may not have been easy to develop for; however, the company appears to have poured an amazing amount of effort into providing a great developer platform for apps (heck, even the natural flow of the Blackberry10 platform is already how you've designed your 2.0 mobile app). Blackberry has a passionate user base. Look at crackberry.com -- apps that make even a basic effort for the platform get hero status and a ton of free publicity: there's money to be made (I spoke with someone today who is leaving Rdio for Songza... an Android Songza port is beating you now on Blackberry10!).
As noted above, I've been playing around with Deezer. Its an Android port, but it works well enough. I'm making the switch now, and finally canceling my Rdio subscription this week before my next billing cycle.
There are lots of us out there that would buy the product if you provided it. I don't know how you record your metrics, but I know of at least two others that are leaving/have left because of a lack of a Blackberry10 app. You know the story... I'm sure there are many more, lost customers or lost potential. I doubt many people would take the time to write a long note to you.
There's been alot of other options that have come up since I've been an Rdio customer. I will likely be as loyal to Deezer as I have been with Rdio, but I hope to see you put something great out there that might lure me back...
I would also like to see Rdio for BB10. I love my new Z10 but hate using the Web interface.
Thanks for taking the time to share such detailed feedback with us regarding the Blackberry app, and we certainly understand if you need to move to a different service while we don't support your device.
We will continue to forward your comments to our team, but in the meantime we still don't have anything more definite to add about the status of a BB10 app.
We do apologize for any frustration over this.
At least get an Android port out, you can do it in a few hours (by what other devs have reported) and get the BB Dev Relations team to help you. There's really no excuse at this point.
I have to agree with the above. I have brought in a lot of Rdio users and love the service. I just moved to BB10 and thought there would be an app. I am probably going to go with Deezer now, or the like, and cancel my Rdio service. It's a sad day and a shame!
I love the Rdio service...the convenience, the variety, its social integration...but I've really been hoping for a BB10 app. While I have given serious consideration to dropping Rdio, I've not yet found another service which meets my music listening needs in all situations. You can be sure, as soon as I do, Rdio will be dropped.
BB10 has a beautiful interface, and I would think Rdio should be able to integrate wonderfully with it. Not only that, but this service easily beats out the existing offers on BB10 (songza, deezer, nobex, slacker) and from a business perspective, an app for BlackBerry 10 would provide Rdio with a competitive advantage over the likes of Pandora, MOG, Spotify and last.fm.
I'm holding out for the moment, but soon I'll probably be joining to ranks of others who have dropped rdio for their lack of BB10 support.
I agree with Josh. I have tried the other services and I have not found them to be anywhere near what you offer. Truth is I cancelled my subscription and now using an old BlackBerry simply for Rdio. This is not going to work for me for very long however and I would at least like to know you plan to make something for those of us that love BlackBerry and Rdio
Thankfully they have recently changed the web display for BlackBerry Z10 browser's so it renders the player in a usable format so if you already have playlists defined it isn't a horrible experience.
Note: You can't see the main screen/center column just scroll up and down the left and right columns.
That said a native app would be better but I think I can tolerate this for awhile.
on another note...I have tried to side load the Android Rdio app onto the Z10 however android support on the Z10 extends only to android 2.3 i believe. The current iteration of the android Rdio app will crash on the Z10. Only hope I have is that Blackberry will update its OS to support android 4.0 apps in the near future. It would be pretty sad if the android rdio apps works on the BB10 platform before a native app is built by Rdio themselves.
I too want the app. I think this thread is turning into a petition. I wonder how many posts before Rdio stops "thinking" about making an Z10 app and commits. I work for a major Canadian wireless carrier and can tell you this is something MANY of our Z10 customers are calling and asking about. With Q10 just around the corner the list of angry rdio subscribers will continue to grow.
Unless dev starts soon you are not going to make it in time for the Q10 in market date either.
Just officially cancelled my subscription. Will consider resubscribing to RDio when a BB10 app is available.
The fact that BB Z10 phones are selling like crazy in Canada and the UK should be a strong signal that apps like this need to be on the platform. AT&T is completely sold out on it's pre-orders ahead of the US launch and BBRY announced yesterday that it sold 1 million phones in a single order to a single partner. If that's not enough of a vote of confidence in the platform, I don't know what is. GET MOVING or people will migrate to your competitors!
i give it 2 weeks, if its not available by end of march, its good bye to Rdio
Looking at cancelling but have 2 other family members (sons) with supported devices as a shared subscription. They love RDIO and talk to their friends about it all the time. Dilemma.
It sounds like a port of the existing Android app would be a good interim option for RDIO until a full BB10 app is developed and it would stem the flow of people away from RDIO (if this thread is any indication).
Still waiting on the BB10 app. Rdio was announced as one of the developers working on BB10, (See http://crackberry.com/blackberry-welcomes-over-1000-app-partners-blackberry-10)
From BlackBerry's latest press release:
Today, Amazon Kindle, OpenTable and The Wall Street Journal are available to BlackBerry 10 customers and in the coming weeks CNN, The Daily Show Headlines, eBay, eMusic, Maxim, MLB at Bat, MTV News, Pageonce, PGA, Rdio, Skype, Soundhound and Viber will be available for download or purchase.
Can anyone at Rdio confirm there will be an app in the "coming weeks"?
Why is RDio being so silent about a BB10 app? BBRY just announced it as confirmed yet RDio leaves us in the dark. What is there to gain from not announcing something when it looks like it's been committed to... What a weird way of doing business....
Here's a solution:
Just make a BB10 app already! The people have spoken!
you keep considering, and i'll keep my $5 , thanks for nothing!
I agree and am sadly canceling
An iPhone5 using friend of mine is speaking passionately about how good an app Rdio is. I would love to give it a go, on my Blackberry Z10. Oh, and by the way: Don't do an Android port, but commit fully to the beautiful BB10 experience instead. If Rdio is 3 months away, so be it, just let everybody know you are in fact committed. We are all waiting anxiously..
FYI for those finding this just now, I've created an Rdio client for BB10 called forte.fm - you can use it while we wait for the official app:
Is there still no word on this? When oh when can I use Rdio on my Z10?
Another BB10 long time RDIO fan who is likely leaving if I don't see a BB10 app soon. Please and thank you.
Please can you at least make a functional Android port in the meantime? I tried Spotify for a month and their app works like a charm on BB10, but still I prefer Rdio for a better collection, I pay the full monthly fee to be able to use it on my phone, yet still nobody from Rdio even cares to make a functional port, not mentioning a native BB10 app. Look how many people you've got in this thread, only from our monthly fees you could afford to pay at least one developer to take a look at it. I'm very tolerant if I see that somebody at least tries and fails, but what I hate is ignorance and most of all ignorance to the faces of paying members. I'm extremely disappointed in the whole Rdio team right now :(
